Frequently asked questions

Do I have copyright of the pictures?
All images sent on DVD can be printed, emailed and used on personal web sites. However, any pictures offered to newspapers, magazines or other publications will need written copyright clearance from Ascott Photography.

Do you back up all the files?
Yes, all pictures taken are downloaded to a secure storage system.

Do you charge for travel/accommodation?
All photography within a 50 mile radius of Croydon, Surrey (up to 100 miles round trip) is covered in the initial fee. Extra miles, other travel fares and/or accommodation will be charged at cost. 'Travel days' may be charged by negotiation.

What area do you cover?
Mainly London and the Home Counties. I am happy to agree any location by negotiation.

What happens if you are ill/unable to attend?
This is a problem which all photographers face. I would need to be very ill not to attend. Obviously, weddings cannot be rearranged, so a network of colleagues does offer some safe guard. Save hospitalisation and acts of God I will be there.

Do you do re-touching?
Yes, all shots taken will be subjected to close scrutiny and retouched where appropriate.

How much are extra prints?
6" x 4" or 7" x 5" £5
10" x 8" or larger from £10

Can I have larger prints?
Within reason, any size can be requested. Images captured should deliver good quality up to around 20" x 16".

Are albums offered?
There are many ways to present your favourite shots, from a large choice of album styles, framed enlargements to bespoke books. We are of course happy to discuss options that cover every budget.

What if it rains?
Whatever the engagement, we will have discussed and agreed a wet weather plan.

How do I book?
It's important to call in the first instance to check availability. Of course, you are under no obligation to 'book' until you are happy my service is what you want.
